Former All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has won his polling unit with an overwhelming majority, clearing all the total votes cast for his party.

At his Ward 10, PU 001, Estako West Local Government Area, for the state governorship election held Saturday, the APC polled the 1,201 votes cast, leaving the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with zero vote.

Also, according to the announced result, the Action Democratic Party (ADP) candidate, Iboi Lucky Emmanuel, polled one vote.

The result from Oshiomhole’s polling unit gave a good leap for the APC, not minding the fact that PDP’s deputy governorship candidate, Phillip Shaibu, is also from same Etsako West Local Government Area.

But Shaibu, who also won his unit for the PDP had boasted that his party would win the Senatorial District.

In all, there are 12 wards under Etsako West Local Government, one may not clearly project who wins the council as results from other units are yet to be counted

“Edo North Senatorial District will be the easiest to win, because the political structure of the place is in our hands,” Shaibu said barely two weeks ago.

Then, Shaibu, had boasted that he brought Oshiomhole into politics, saying, he had won his election into the state’s parliament six months before Osbiomhole won through a court judgement.
