“He is walking already, taking a few steps. You can imagine after a major surgery in his right femur bone; that is very encouraging as he continues to recover,” Dosunmu-Ogunbi said

However, via his official social media handles on Sunday, 24th July 2022, the Vice President appreciated the Nigerian people for their show of love through their wishes and get-well messages sent to him while he also commended the medical team for “providing such an excellent care”

He wrote “My deep gratitude to everyone for your get-well wishes and prayers following my surgery.

“And special appreciation to the amazing team of surgeons, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and the management of the Duchess International Hospital Lagos, for providing such excellent care.

“God bless you all.”
