Senator Omisore’s wife becomes regent in Ado Ekiti

Erelu Mojisola Omisore, wife of former deputy governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has been selected as the new regent of Oisa Amulodu in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Erelu Omisore, a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, was selected into the chieftaincy position of their late father, High Chief Julius Adeleye Fashubaa.

The installation ceremony for new Regent of Oisa Amulodu of Ado Ekiti, Erelu Omisore, currently the Director of Special Duties in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Abuja, is a two-day event fixed for the last week in July.

As disclosed in a statement by the family’s representative, Pastor Felix Ade Fashubaa, the installation ceremony will come up in Ado Ekiti, on Sunday, July 26 and Monday, July 27, 2020.

Pastor Fashubaa said, the installation would be held in line with the laid down COVID-19 protocols, as for this reason, provision would be made for others who won’t be able to be physically present to connect online.

“As much as we would have loved to mark this great and joyful occasion together, the laid down protocols of COVID-19 have to be followed, as your safety is paramount to us at these unprecedented times.

“Since we cannot all be physically present at the events, we request that you join us on Zoom, details of which will be made available to you in a short while,” Pastor Fashubaa said.

Omisore, who represented Osun East from 2003 to 2007 in the Senate, where he emerged the Appropriation Committee Chairman, had lost his father-in-law, High Chief Julius Adeleye Fashubaa, who died on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 102 years of age.

The late Chief Fashubaa, a native of Ado-Ekiti in Ekiti State, during his lifetime was a teacher who rose become a school principal in the defunct Western Region.

He was survived by the new Regent, Barrister Mojisola Omisore, who is also the Erelu Apesin of Ijeshaland and Yeyemolufe of the Source (Ile-Ife), in Osun State.

“Baba lived a very fulfilled life. He was a shining light and worthy example of hard work, positive influence and patriotism to his family and the local community. I am particularly going to miss his wise counsel and fatherly role,” he stated,” Erelu Omisore said, about her late father.
