Earlier on Wednesday, Obaseki had met with the leadership of the PDP, led by its national chairman, Uche Secondus.<\/p>\n
Obaseki, was disqualified by his former party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), from seeking his second term reelection for allegedly submitting questionable certificates.<\/p>\n
The governor, in the early days of his administration had engaged in political tussle with his benefactor and successor, the then national chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Osbiomhole.<\/p>\n
This, it was believed was the major reason his party brought up issues in the credentials it earlier approved for him to initially contest on the party’s ticket.<\/p>\n
But as the melee raged on, Obaseki had been disqualified from contesting, and he was already at the peak of announcing his decision to move over to the PDP, when the Appeal Court upheld the suspension of Oshiomhole, who had earlier been expelled from the party at his ward level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
