Gov. Andrew Cuomo<\/a>\u00a0addressed the mounting sexual harassment allegations against him Wednesday, saying he \u201cnever touched anyone inappropriately.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI now understand that I acted in a way that made people feel uncomfortable. It was unintentional and I truly and deeply apologize for it,\u201d he told reporters. \u201cI feel awful about it and, frankly, I am embarrassed by it.\u201d<\/p>\n Cuomo said he will \u201cfully cooperate\u201d with the attorney general\u2019s investigation, adding he\u2019s \u201clearned an important lesson.\u201d<\/p>\n The governor faces\u00a0allegations from three women<\/a>\u00a0in their 20s and 30s, two who worked with him at different times.<\/p>\n The latest woman, Anna Ruch, met Cuomo at a\u00a0wedding for one of his top aides<\/a>, Gareth Rhodes. She claims to\u00a0The New York Times<\/em> the governor touched her face and kissed her inappropriately.<\/p>\n CBS2<\/a>\u2019s political reporter Marcia Kramer asked the governor about a photo that surfaced showing Cuomo holding Ruch\u2019s face. He call it his \u201ccustomary way of greeting.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou can find hundreds of pictures of me making the same gesture with hundreds of people \u2014 women, men, children, etc.,\u201d he replied. \u201cWhat I also understand is it doesn\u2019t matter, it doesn\u2019t matter my intent. This pattern of behavior is completely unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n Rhodes has left Cuomo\u2019s office and returned to the state Department of Financial Services, CBS2\u2019s political reporter Marcia Kramer learned Wednesday.<\/p>\n Responding to calls to resign, the governor said, \u201cI\u2019m not going to resign. I work for the people of the state of New York.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Cuomo is also on the verge of losing some of his emergency powers during the pandemic.
