Death has been reported of the former Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande.
As gathered, he died on Thursday at the age of 91.
Jakande, popularly called Baba Kekere, who reigned as Lagos governor between October 1, 1979 and December 31, 1983, will be remembered as a leader who brought a lot of infrastructural developments to the state in his time.

His programme was carried out in line with the five cardinal programmes of the then now defunct Unity Party of (UPN) founded by a former Premier of the Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
