President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the Senate seeking the confirmation of seven ministerial nominees.
The nominees are:
Henry Ikechukwu – Abia State
Umana Okon Umana – Akwa-Ibom State
Ekuma Joseph – Ebonyi State
Goodluck Nana Opia – Imo State
Umar Ibrahim Yakub – Kano State
Ademola Adewole Adegorioye – State
Odo Udi – Rivers State.

President Buhari, on Tuesday, wrote to the Senate seeking confirmation of the nominated ministers.
The President’s letter was read out by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, at the start of the plenary on Tuesday.
He said the newly appointed ministers are to replace cabinet members who had resigned to contest for other offices.
Some ministers who resigned to contest for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries are Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, Rotimi Amaechi, Godswill Akpabio, Ogbonnaya Onu.
Others include Uche Ogar who contested and won the factional Abia State governorship primary and Tayo Alasoadura who contested and lost the APC senatorial primary in Ondo State.
