The Governing Council of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has sacked the insitution’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Olawatoyin Ogundipe.
The Council announced his removal during its meeting which held at the National Universities Commission (NUC) building in Abuja, on Wednesday.

At the meeting, presided over by its Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Dr. Wale Babalakin (SAN), seven members voted for the removal of Ogundipe as UNILAG Vice Chancellor, while four voted against.
One member voted that he should rather be placed on suspension.
