Nigeria recorded her highest daily number of Covid-19 cases on Thursday, as the Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said 381 people tested positive to coronavirus in 24 hours.
With this latest figure, the country’s total number of coronavirus cases now stands at 3,526, with Lagos in massive lead accounting for 183 cases in 24 hours.
Before the Thursday results, the highest daily figure had stood at 245.
As Lagos continues to dominate the daily update, Kano State came behind it with 55 news positive cases.
Jigawa State came third with 44 new positive cases, followed by Zamfara State with 19 and Katsina State with 11 new positive cases.

The states with high single digits on NCDC list include Borno with nine new positive cases; Kaduna with seven new positive cases, Gombe with six new positive cases, Ogun with five new positive cases, Sokoto with four new positive cases, while Oyo and Rivers had three new positive cases each.
Niger State recorded two new positive cases, while Akwa Ibom, Enugu and Plateau had one new case each.
Also, as announced by NCDC, thus far, 601 patients who have been successfully treated and fully recovered from the highly infectious disease have been discharged and reunited with their families, while 107 deaths had been recorded.
