The Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, on Tuesday, May 17, 2021, received the Leadership Man of the Year Award presented to him at the 2022 Leadership Newspaper Conference and Awards programme held at the International Conference Centre (ICC), in Abuja.
VP Osinbajo, who had been announced as the award winner earlier on January 4, 2022, alongside the Director-General, World Trade Organization, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, received the award on Tuesday, in a formal presentation at the event, in Abuja.

Prof Osinbajo was recognized and honoured as the 2021 Leadership Person of the Year based on his effective supervision of the numerous social intervention Programmes in this current administration.
He was also credited for his perceptible role in steadying the ship of governance through the storms under the Buhari administration.
The social intervention Programmes conceptualised and implemented by the VP’s office and his status as a fulcrum that balances complex things in this government were key in arriving at the decision.
