The calls from different categories of Nigerians on Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to contest for the 2023 Presidency have received a boost, with a large presidential campaign billboard bearing his name and picture mounted in Abuja, on Monday, three days into the new year 2022.

Though, Prof Osinbajo, SAN, currently serving his second term as a vice-president under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in a joint ticket with President Muhammadu Buhari, is yet to declare a presidential ambition, Nigerians at different levels and many political support groups requesting him to contest, have given their wholehearted support to his candidature.

The campaign banner strategically mounted on a bridge at a popular location at the Central Area in Abuja, with a big smiling photograph of Vice President Osinbajo, is with a pleading inscription, “Join us, Nigeria asks for Osinbajo 2023.”

The banner said to have been mounted by an independent advocacy group called: “The Progressive Project 2023” whose name is boldly imprinted on the banner, didn’t attach any political party affiliation to the said banner.
