Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, appears set to formally inform Nigerians of his decision on the 2023 Presidency, following the torrent of calls made to him by Nigerians to run for the country’s top job.
The Daily Leaks can report that Nigeria’s second-in-command won’t disappoint Nigerians who had waited endlessly to know the next step of the Vice President as the country prepares for a new election year, according to an authoritative source from the Presidential Villa, when contacted to speak on the development.
This is coming at the backdrop of a story earlier published on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, by a section of the media claiming the Vice President had perfected plans to formally declare his interest in the Presidency on Thursday, April 7, 2022, under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The headline had read, “Osinbajo To Declare For 2023 Presidency Thursday.”
But, an authoritative source from the Villa, when contacted by The Daily Leaks on the development, dismissed such report, claiming the Vice President had not made any plan to declare for the 2023 Presidency on the said date, Thursday, April 7, 2022, but, affirmed that he would inform Nigerians of his decision soon.
Lately, there had been a proliferation of diverse Support Groups across the nation mobilizing for the “Osinbajo 2023 Presidency,” plus Nigerians across different geopolitical zones of the country urging the Vice President to declare his interest in the country’s No 1 office.
However, the Vice President has yet to officially acknowledge the popular calls from Nigerians and different Support Groups asking him to declare for the 2023 Presidency.
Be that as it may, with the latest signal as confirmed by the authoritative source at the Villa, it appears the die is cast, Osinbajo will respond to Nigerians’ calls soon.
