2023: You’ve touched lives, now payback time, Osinbajo told in Jos

Barely few days to the eagerly anticipated All Progressives Congress (APC) Convention where the ruling party will elect the bearer of its presidential ticket on May 29, 2022, the chairman, of the Plateau State chapter of APC, Hon Rufus Bature, has assured Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, of his unalloyed support for his presidential aspiration.

The party Chairman disclosed this on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, during the State delegates’ interaction meeting with the Vice President who had visited the state as part of his ongoing nationwide consultations with stakeholders and delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Rufus said most of the activities of the VP, being the number two man, have impacted many lives both young and old, in the country, saying the time had come to reward him for his giant contributions to the development of the country by supporting him to succeed his boss in 2023.

His words: “If we have our way, there is no need for primaries. Other aspirants have come, but the reception is not the same. You have touched the lives of so many in this country. It is time to pay you back by voting you as our party’s presidential candidate.”

Also speaking at the event, the Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Professor Sonni Gwanle Tyoden, said the Vice President would not only emerge victorious in the 2023 presidential election but Osinbajo would be the best President the country has ever produced.

“We know we have other candidates but we can separate the wheat from the chaff. You will be the best President Nigeria will have he said.
