Former Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has described the late Hajiya Dada Yar’Adua, the matriarch of the Yar’Adua family, as a woman who embodied the spirit of service, dignity, and grace.

This tribute was given during his visit to Katsina on Thursday to pay his respects and offer condolences to the Yar’Adua family following her passing.

He said this when he addressed the press, stating, “We are here to condole with the family of Yar’Adua and also the government of Katsina State.

“Hajiya Dada Yar’Adua was not just a Katsina resident and citizen, she represented all of us.
That is why you have seen the steady flow of Nigerians from different walks of life coming to pay their condolences.

‘For many of us who met her in her lifetime, we recognise that here is a woman who embodies the spirit of service, dignity, and grace.”

Osinbajo’s visit highlights his close relationship with the Yar’Adua family and his deep respect for the legacy of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua.

Upon his arrival, Osinbajo, who was accompanied by Senator Kabiru Gaya, Mrs. Maryam Uwais, former Presidential Adviser on Social Investment, and other dignitaries, was welcomed by Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda.

The visit was marked by prayers for the repose of Hajia Dada’s soul, led by Senator Gaya.
