Makinde reshuffles cabinet, appoints new SSG, reassigns key officials

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has announced a cabinet reshuffle, relieving the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Olanike Kudirat Adeyemo, of her appointment with immediate effect.

The announcement was made in a statement on Monday in Ibadan by his special adviser on media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

Professor Musibau Adetunji Babatunde has been appointed as the new Secretary to the State Government in the shake‑up aimed at strengthening governance and service delivery in the state.

The governor has also redeployed Barrister Temilolu Seun Ashamu from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.

Meanwhile, Ademola Aderinto, his senior special assistant on public works, was named commissioner‑designate and will be presented to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

Additional appointments announced in the statement include Honourable Abiodun Adedoja as Special Adviser on Energy Security and Kolawole Elijah Akanmu as Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.

Governor Makinde said the changes are part of his commitment to effective administration and the efficient delivery of public services across the state.
