Tinubu approves postings of Ayodele Oke, Lt. Gen Dambazau, Jimoh Ibrahim among 65 ambassadors

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has formally approved the postings of 65 ambassadors, comprising 34 non-career and 31 career envoys, to various countries and the United Nations, following Senate confirmation in December 2025.

The statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has received agrément from France for Ambassador Ayodele Oke.

It added that nominations for the remaining envoys have been conveyed to their respective countries with requests for agrément in accordance with standard diplomatic procedures.

The statement also informed that President Tinubu has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to immediately commence induction programmes for all ambassadors-designate and high commissioners to ensure a smooth transition into their diplomatic assignments.
