Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, was in Gombe State, on Friday, October 14, 2022, to attend the closing of the maiden Gombe Investment Summit, and while lauding Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, effortlessly, the VP said, “Gombe State is at the centre of the business enabling reforms, “which informs your standing as the number 1 State in the sub-national Ease of Doing Business Survey Report ranking. As captured by responses from the private sector in the report, Gombe leads the frontier in Infrastructure and Security indicators, as well as in Skills and Labour indicators.”

Brilliant! His remark even did more good for the state in exposing it to investors, while the governor too would be proud that a Professor with a fastidious and incisive intellect gave him a pass mark.

VP Osinbajo was very coherent in his speech showcasing the good coming from Gombe, he sold Nigeria to the world and generally enlightened many people’s ignorance with the profundity of his knowledge. THIS IS A LEADER WE NEED IF NIGERIA WILL BE GREATER.

At the end of the programme, the immediacy of the emotional impact PYO made on Nigerians only left the general public to begin to select the best from the best of his statements as brilliantly crafted in the press release. The turnout of the event was pleasant, it was a delight to everyone who read the story.

Some hours later, in a similar event, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu attended the Kaduna Investment Summit, also known as KadInvest7.0, the resultant effect of his speech was catastrophic!

How won’t Nigerians be concerned about the speeches of a would-be president of a ruling party, especially now that it is attracting the attention that being a merry-andrew brings.

Apart from the fact that listening to Tinubu speak these days is so strenuous — it is uninteresting how he struggles to gather his words. His two-minute speech is like going through this arduous task of an all-night sitting in an empty room!

Asiwaju was trying to eulogise his host, Governor Nasir el-Rufai, he said: “el-Rufai, we will not let you run away. Your vision, creativity, and resiliency in TURNING A ROTTEN SITUATION INTO A BAD ONE is necessary at this critical time.”

You turn a rotten situation into a bad one! Then, what are you left with?

Imagine Baba representing Nigeria at AU, EU and UN or elsewhere! What becomes of the country’s reputation to the outside world?

What Nigerians are now left with is to earnestly beseech GOD to make a way where there seems to be no way for Nigeria in 2023.

We can only pray that may God continually bless VP Osinbajo, keep him strong, and daily enrich his wealth of wisdom. His mandate to lead Nigeria to the Promised Land shall be accomplished in Jesus name.

God bless Nigeria.
