VIDEO: Nigerians condemn police killing of 16-year-old girl in #JusticeForTina protest

Nigerians have protested the unjust killing of a teenager said to have been shot in Lagos by trigger-happy policemen, who is yet to be identified by authorities.

However, police authorities said the erring officer has been arrested and detained.

The girl, simply identified as Tina, according to protesters on Twitter, was shot at Iyana Oworo Bus Stop, Lagos State, on Monday May 26, 2020 by police officers said to be attached to Oworoshoki Division of the Nigeria Police Force.

The young lady, after he was allegedly shot was said to have been rushed to s hospital where she later breathed her last.

Nigerians are now calling for justice in series of tweets posted on Twitter with the hashtag #JusticeForTina, likewise asking the killers of Tina to be unmasked.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bala Elkana, has said justice would be served on the matter.

He said this in a tweet on his Twitter handle in a response to protesters tweets.
