The controversial Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Governor Mai Mala Buni, on Wednesday met with President Muhammadu Buhari in London, where he is currently on a medical checkup.
Buni, the incumbent Governor of Yobe State, who was recuperating in Dubai after he left the country a couple of weeks back for medical attention abroad, stormed the President’s base in London to express his feelings over the latest crisis of the party with forces bent on ousting him at the party’s boss.
Not minding his health status, Buni, was forced to halt his medical tourism in Dubai, UAE, where he had been for an undisclosed ailment, and headed for London, where he engaged in a meeting with Buhari.

The meeting, as gathered, was a “brief and fruitful discussion,” centred on measures to move APC forward preparatory to the March 26 National Convention and the 2023 General Elections.
Buni is expected back in Nigeria on Thursday, (today), to resume office as the Chairman APC CECPC, after reaching an agreement with President Buhari.
The Yobe State governor, Buni, is now to go ahead with the party’s national convention as planned, and part of the agreement reached to sort out the grey areas threatening a successful change of leadership and the choice of a formidable candidate to represent the party at the coming 2023 presidential election.
