Anxiety as explosion rocks Berger area in Lagos

Another fire incident occurred at Berger area of Lagos State at the early hours of Saturday after a truck carrying fabrics collided a petrol tanker.

The collision resulted in a big explosion at the scene of the incident on the popular Otedola Bridge in Lagos.

However, no casualty has been reported at the incident said to have occurred at around 2:00 a.m.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), giving updates via its Twitter handle said it has responded to distress calls from the area.

“The Agency has responded to the distress calls concerning a tanker on fire at Berger along the Lagos Ibadan Expressway.

“On arrival at the incident scene, it was discovered that a 40fit containerized truck loaded with fabric had a brake failure while moving inward Berger. It then collided with a tanker loaded with 33,000 liters of PMS. The impact of the collision resulted in fire outbreak,” LASEMA tweeted.
