The Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr Funminiyi Afuye, has been reported dead.
Afuye, who before his demise, represented Ikere constituency 1 in the Assembly, died on Wednesday evening at 66 after a brief illness.

He was one of the dignitaries who graced the inauguration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on Sunday, October 16, 2022, and was said to be present at a plenary that was held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
According to the information gathered, he died after a brief illness.
