A fervent teacher of the gospel, Pastor Tunde Jaiyebo, has declared that believers are created to function from the unlimited capacity of God, insisting that divine ability, not human limitation, defines what is possible in life.

The Senior Pastor of Charis Family International Church made this declaration while declaring open the Charis Nigeria Convention 2026 at the church headquarters auditorium situated along Cultural Centre Road, Mokola, Ibadan.

The seven day programme, themed Endless Possibilities By Grace, began on Monday, May 4 and will run through to Sunday, May 10, 2026.

The cleric anchored his opening ministration on 2 Corinthians 9:8, Jeremiah 32:17, Ephesians 3:20, 1 John 4:4, Romans 12:2 and 2 Corinthians 10:3-4, stressing that many believers live below their inheritance because of limited understanding of God’s ability and the influence of culture, family patterns, and human reasoning.

Access to God’s unlimited ability

Pastor Jaiyebo stated, “We are not giving enough time to the ability of God. God has unlimited ability and He is able. Nothing is too difficult for Him to do. His abilities are our possibilities. What He can do, we now have access to His abilities, therefore we have access to endless possibilities. His abilities has opened to us endless possibilities. To him that believes, all things are possible.”

Believers as carriers of divine power

He further emphasised that believers operate as carriers of divine capacity, saying, “We are carrier of the power of God, that is why we have all abilities. We must have understanding that we are not ordinary people. A believer must know that there is His working inside of me.”

Explaining what he described as dimensions of God’s ability from Ephesians 3:20, he outlined six expressions of divine capability as “super abundantly, far over and above, all that we ask, all that we think, infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts and hopes, according to His power at work within us,” adding that God’s capacity extends beyond human imagination and expectation.

Referencing 1 John 4:4, he described believers as overcomers by divine nature, stating, “Children are harmless that cannot do things for themselves. Though we are little children, we are overcomers because of God in us.”

Warning against limiting God

He warned that many people unintentionally operate beneath their potential, adding, “Many times we do things below the power of our abilities because we limit God.”

Culture and mindset as limiting factors

Drawing from Romans 12:2 in the Message translation, he cautioned against mental and cultural conditioning that shapes expectation, saying, “Don’t get well adjusted to your culture. Your habitual practice and beliefs have shaped your thinking. If you come from a family that has no love, it will shape how your possibility will look like. Many people have their possibilities shaped by their culture.”

He challenged participants to rethink their future outlook, stating, “Where do you see yourself in the future. What are you seeing, 2027 is coming, what will determine your possibilities. God is able. You can do super abundantly. Many people their hopes are conditioned because of their experience.”

Breaking mental and environmental limitations

He also addressed what he described as psychological and environmental imprisonment of potential, saying, “Many are being imprisoned and losing possibility and managing through life because their possibilities are not rooted in the ability of God.”

Referencing 2 Corinthians 10:3-4, he stated, “We are human but we don’t wage war as humans do.”

He challenged limiting human reasoning in practical life situations, asking, “What are those human reasons that make you think you can’t get pregnant this year, or you think you don’t have connections you can’t get things done.”

Breaking generational patterns

He further explained that background and environment often shape outcomes unconsciously, adding, “Sometimes where we are is not our fault, you don’t choose your parents, your environment, you find yourself there.”

“If you see in your family that you are gravitating the familiar issues in your family, seeing yourself fulfilling negative family history, these limit your possibilities. Your auntie has family issues and it is being replicated in your family, it kills possibilities. You think you are old, it can’t work again. You are rationalising, it can’t work again.”

Convention continues through the week

The convention continues throughout the week with teachings and ministrations focused on faith expansion, renewal of the mind, and what organisers describe as living in the reality of endless possibilities by grace.
