The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has cast his ballot at his polling unit at PO 045 in Anifowoshe, Ikeja, Lagos State.
GRV as he is fondly called is one of the frontline candidates for the election as he slogs it out with the incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Olajide Adeniran, popularly known as Jandor of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Rhodes-Vivour encouraged Lagosians to come out and exercise their franchise and be vigilant as the ballots are being counted.

He said in a social media post after casting his ballot: “Please keep coming out, we have to remain vigilant and alert during results collation and results transmission. I appreciate everyone who has come out, we can do this, let’s keep going. Every vote matters, your vote matters.”

Analysts have projected the election to be atop those that will be keenly contested premising it on the brilliant outing of the opposition Labour Party in the February 25, 2023, presidential election as the APC was defeated in Lagos for the first time in 23 years of this democracy.
Rhodes-Vivour whose niche is his popularity among the youths became more popular after the Labour Party’s victory over APC, as more youths are being rallied to reciprocate the same gesture in for the Labour Party in the governorship and assembly elections.
