Senior Pastor of Charis Family International Church, Pastor Tunde Jaiyebo, has declared that Christians must move beyond corporate anointing and embrace the personal grace God has given each believer, streesing that the fullness of a Christian’s life cannot emerge until they understand and operate in their individual divine endowment.

He stated this on Monday at the opening of the week-long CharisDay 2025 Convention, themed “The Gift of Grace,” holding from Monday, 8 December to Sunday, 14 December.

Teaching from Ephesians 4:5–8, Pastor Jaiyebo said Verse 7 “introduces a new dimension,” revealing that grace is given individually, deliberately and not indiscriminately.

He stressed that while corporate grace is important, believers who rely solely on it will never experience the personalised walk GOD intends for them.

According to him, understanding the nature of GOD is essential to operating in grace.

“GOD is benevolent. He is supremely committed to doing good. Everything required for you to live the life GOD designed has already been provided,” he said, referencing 2 Peter 1:3 (AMP) which states that GOD has bestowed “all things necessary and vital for life.”

He explained that whether spiritual or physical, tangible or intangible, every good thing comes from GOD, citing James 1:17, and reinforced the assurance of divine benevolence with Matthew 7:7–11, which affirms GOD’s willingness to give good gifts to His children.

While salvation remains the foundational gift, “a believer’s ticket to heaven,” Pastor Jaiyebo warned that many Christians stop at salvation and fail to activate the additional gifts required to function effectively on earth. He divided these gifts into general gifts for all believers and individual gifts uniquely assigned.

Reading 1 Corinthians 12:27 (AMP), he noted the distinction between GOD’s general dealings with the Body and His specific operations in individuals.

He stressed that Christians are carriers of unique grace, stating: “What you are carrying, no one else is carrying. If you don’t function well in your grace, the whole Body suffers.”

Pastor Jaiyebo urged believers to identify, develop and stir up their individual graces, drawing from 2 Timothy 1:6–7 (AMP), where Timothy was instructed to “rekindle the gift of GOD within.”

According to him, grace requires intentional activation: “You need to kindle the grace. You need to add the fire. You must push yourself forward.”

He observed that many Christians remain in a generalised faith experience and never personalise their relationship with GOD, which ultimately limits their spiritual impact.

“After some time, the corporate doesn’t seem relevant again,” he stated, insisting that personal grace is what sustains spiritual function and life purpose.

Pastor Jaiyebo concluded by affirming that every believer possesses a divine deposit that must be stirred, nurtured and manifested: “You are carriers of individual grace. If your body isn’t functioning in your grace, there is a problem. You must know what GOD has given you, and walk in it.”
