NCDC confirms 649 new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, total now 22,020

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has confirmed discovery of 674 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

Disclosing this late Wednesday night, the NCDC said, eight deaths were also recorded in the last 24 hours.

On the overall, the total COVID-19 cases in Nigeria have risen to 21,371, and a total of 7,613 patients who recovered have been discharged, while 542 deaths cases have been recorded.

In its highlights, the NCDC said, “On the 24rd of June 2020, 649 new confirmed cases and 9 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

“No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.

“Till date, 22,020 cases have been confirmed, 7,613 cases have been discharged and 542 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory

“The 649 new cases are reported from 22 states – Lagos-250; Oyo-100; Plateau-40; Delta-40; Abia-28; Kaduna-27; Ogun-22; Edo-20; Akwa Ibom-18; Kwara-17; FCT-17; Enugu-14; Niger-13; Adamawa-13; Bayelsa-7; Osun-6; Bauchi-6; Anambra-4; Gombe-3; Sokoto-2; Imo-1; Kano-1.”
