Leaders of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), former President Goodluck Jonathan; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other dignitaries on Friday attended the wedding of Yusuf, son of President Muhammadu Buhari.
It was a carnival of all sorts as many opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders relocated to Bichi, Kano State, to join their counterparts in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in honour of President Buhari as his son, Yusuf, wedded Zahra, Daughter of Emir of Bichi, Nasiru Ado Bayero in Bichi.
In attendance at the wedding to receive guests were President Buhari and First Lady Aisha Buhari, and were also joined by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, at the wedding which held in Bichi, Kano State.
The ancient town of Bichi, Kano State, went agog for Yusuf, and the daughter of the Emir of Bichi, Zahra Nasiru Ado-Bayero.

The wedding Fatiha, was conducted at the Emir’s Palace, with the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami, presiding, after payment of N500,000, as dowry.
Alhaji Aminu Dantata stood as representative of the bride, while Alhaji Mamman Daura, stood for the bridegroom during the wedding.
Shortly after the religious rites, Dr Ali Pantami, then prayed to the Almighty Allah to bless the marriage and grant the couple, pious children.
Sheikh Qaribullahi Nasiru Kabara, the leader of Qadiriyya Islamic Sect in West Africa, also prayed for the couple and advised them to live in peace and harmony.
Other dignitaries who attended the wedding included Senate President, Mohammed Lawan, Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Prof Ibrahim Gambari several state governors, former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode.
Also in attendance were ministers, members of the National and State Assembly, Emirs, diplomats, politicians and well-wishers, among others.
