Balogun, the Olori Omo Oba of Ijebu had died on Thursday, May 18, in London, aged 89, following a brief illness, as earlier announced by the family.

Prof Osinbajo’s visit was a follow-up to a condolence statement he had personally signed and issued to the family on Saturday, May 20, where he described the late Nigerian banking legend as “noble in word and deed, an outstanding legal mind, and a doyen of the Nigerian capital market and investment banking.”
