The former Minister of Police Affairs, Hon Jelili Adesiyan, has congratulated Governor Gboyega Oyetola on his 67th birthday anniversary.

The ex-minister, who joined the numerous wellwishers, friends, relations and other All Progressives Congress(APC) family to celebrate the Osun State governor, said he is particularly congratulating the people of the state “for having such a man of gentle character at the helms of affairs in the state.

Adesiyan, in a press statement circulated to the media in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Tuesday, informed that the governor, is by all standards, “a worthy role model to both the young and old politicians,” as according to him, “he has shown that a political leader doesn’t need to be loud and brutish in order to make an impression.”

He described the “Birthday Boy” as God’s gift for the people of the state, calling him “an embodiment of hardwork, good character and ingenuity” in the act of governing the state.

The ex-minister prayed to the Merciful Allah to be magnanimous with the governor to spend many more fruitful years on earth, while enjoing all the peaceloving and progressive-minded inhabitants of the state to continue to cooperate with him in his ceaseless efforts to develop the state.

He noted that another thing that has make the governor a delight of all and sundry in the state is his political will to reverse some of the unpopular policies of his predecessor according to the wish of the people of the state.

“May All Merciful Allah continue to favour this symbol of excellence in Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola who is working round the clock to positively impact the state.

“Governor Gboyega Oyetola disappointed his enemies by coming up with midas touch to make an impression and a statement in all the sectors of the economy.

“His political traducers had thought that his government would not last because of the issue of payment of half salaries which was in vogue for the government workers during the last administration in the state.

“To date since the inception of his government, Oyetola has not only been paying full salaries, but he has also been paying as and when due,” Jelili said.
