[UPDATE] Edo election 2020: Police arrest troublemaker at Obaseki’s polling unit

Security operatives have arrested an intruder who  attempted to cause trouble Saturday morning, at Governor Godwin Obaseki’s polling unit 19, ward 04, at Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State.

The man caused a scene, as he attempted to disrupt the voting process in an election which began peacefully on Saturday.

Further findings on the incident earlier reported showed that, the man said to have hit a supporter of another party, had claimed that since a group of persons disrupted his voting unit, he too would disrupt proceedings at another unit.

Apparently, as a supporter of an opposing party, he decided to cause trouble at Ward 4, Unit 19, where Governor Godwin Obaseki and his wife, Betsy are standing in the queue to vote.

The incident which attracted a crowd of people to the polling unit inside Emokpae Model Primary School compound at Oredo, in Benin City, had since been brought under control.
