Tragedy struck in a Delta State community on Wednesday, as a wife who was told her husband had tested positive for COVID-19 slumped and died.
The tragic incident which occurred at Igho Salami Street, Uloho Avenue in Ughelli, had thrown the entire community into mourning.
As gathered, the deceased, simply identified as Mrs Oregbe, was at home, when she was told that her husband’s sample COVID-19 result came out positive.
Prior to this incident, it was said the late Mrs Oregbe, had been managing high blood pressure.

This, it was believed triggered a sudden distress that caused her to slump as she learnt her husband had tested positive for COVID-19, and later died before she could be rushed to the hospital.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Delta State Police Command, Onome Onovwakpoyeya, when contacted by The Daily Leaks said, she was informally told of the incident on Wednesday, but the family had not officially report to the woman’s death to police.
