2023 elections: Osinbajo ready, arrives in Ikenne to vote

• Holds meeting with APC community leaders

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN and his wife, Dolapo, arrived in their country home, Ikenne, Ogun State, on Friday, preparatory to the Saturday, February 25, presidential election, kickstarting the 2023 national elections.

The Vice President who appeared ready for the historical poll, will, together with his wife, exercise their franchise at Polling Unit 14, Egunrege in Ikenne Local Government Area (LGA), on Saturday.

The spokesperson to the VP, Laolu Akande, who disclosed this in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Friday, said his principal would be participating in the Presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday from his country home in Ikenne.

Akande also said Prof. Osinbajo would hold a series of meetings with APC and community leaders at his residence in Ikenne, Ogun State.

His post reads: “Ahead of tomorrow’s national elections, VP Osinbajo arrives Ikenne this afternoon, holding a series of meetings with APC and community leaders at his residence. He will be voting tomorrow at Polling Unit 14, Egunrege in Ikenne LGA.

Vice President Osinbajo and his wife, Dolapo, had exercised their franchise in the 2019 presidential election at the Victoria Garden City (VGC) home, in Lagos.

Prof Osinbajo, who hails from Ikenne, Ogun State, in South-West Nigeria, before he became the Vice President, had worked as a Professor of Law at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) for many years.

He was also attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in Lagos State from 1999 until 2007.
