Nigerian music star Davido has married his long-time partner in a grand-style wedding in Lagos today.

Davido, whose full name is David Adedeji Adeleke, is a popular Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer known for hits like “Fall” and “IF,” was born on November 21, 1992 in Atlanta, Georgia.

He attended the British International School in Lagos before proceeding to study Business Administration at Oakland University in Alabama, though he later dropped out to pursue his music career.

Later on, Davido’s father, Chief Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, paid Babcock University to create the Music Department so his son could study there.

In June 2015, Davido graduated from Babcock University with a second class upper degree in Music.

Davido comes from a wealthy family – his father, Adedeji Adeleke, is a successful businessman and founder of Adeleke University in Osun State.

Chioma Avril Rowland, Davido’s wife, is a Nigerian chef, model and social media personality. She was born on April 1, 1995 in Owerri, Imo State.

Chioma met Davido while they were both students at Babcock University, and recently welcomed twins in October 2023.

The couple, who have been together for over four years, had their traditional wedding on November 6, 2022, in a private ceremony with only close family and friends present.

Davido revealed in a recent interview that he met Chioma before attaining fame and wealth, and believes he may not have settled down with anyone else if he hadn’t met her when he did.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining connections with those who supported you when you had nothing and witnessing your success.

The couple looked stunning in their traditional Aso-Oke attire as they posed for pictures, with Davido sweetly fanning Chioma to prevent her makeup from creasing.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for this day and have flooded social media with congratulatory messages, describing their union as “made in heaven.”

Dele Momodu, an uncle to Davido’s first baby mama Sophia Momodu, also took to Instagram to congratulate the couple on behalf of the Momodu family.

However, Davido has recently dragged Sophia to court over the custody of their daughter Imade.

The wedding comes after a roller-coaster of emotions for the couple, who have weathered many challenges together, including the tragic loss of their son Ifeanyi in 2022.

Their bond has only grown stronger through these difficult times.

Fans and well-wishers continue to shower the newlyweds with love and support, wishing them a lifetime of happiness and success in their marriage.
