Former Nigerian Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has visited the proposed site of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary African Art London (MoMCAAL) in Mayfair, as part of his ongoing engagements promoting African culture and creative industries.
Following the site tour, Prof. Osinbajo spent the afternoon at the Africa Centre in Southwark, London, where he was received by the Centre’s Chair, Oba Nsugbe, QC, and CEO, Olu Alake.
Also present were Nzube Ufodike, a trustee of the Africa Centre; Rebecca Lewis, a former US Embassy diplomat and social impact specialist; Kasope Balogun, Chair of the British Nigeria Law Forum; Adesegun Adeosun, Co-founder of Afronation; and Paul Andrew, CEO of MoMCAAL.
Prof. Osinbajo described his afternoon at the Africa Centre as “engaging,” noting the warm reception by the leadership and community members.
He was later joined by Olori Ronke Ademiyuli-Ogunwusi, who also visited the Centre during the gathering.
The meetings reflect Prof. Osinbajo’s sustained interest in initiatives that project African heritage, arts, and innovation onto the global stage, and his ongoing support for institutional platforms that celebrate African identity and cultural advancement.
