President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned a security council meeting with all former leaders of Nigeria including the service chiefs.
In the virtual meeting with former Nigerian leaders and senior government officials which commenced at 9:00 a.m., those in attendance include former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan, Olusegun Obasanjo, and former military heads of state, General Yakubu Gowon, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, and former head of interim national government, Ernest Shonekan.
At the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa, in Abuja, where the meeting was hosted, senior officials in physical attendance, include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari and National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno.

Likewise, security chief and other heads of various security agencies such as the police and the State Security Service (SSS) attended the meeting.
It was believed the leaders came together to find a lasting solution to the wave of insecurity blowing round the country, which was also made ticker by the recent #EndSARS protest, though details of the meeting were not formally disclosed.
Other issued which was speculated must have been discussed include the protesters call for police reform and the violence that has resulted from it.
Dozens of people including protesters and police officers have been killed across Nigeria as hoodlums hijacked protests by young Nigerians which began peacefully.
Two weeks after the protests started, President Buhari Thursday night finally addressed Nigerians on it.
He appealed to protesters to end the protests and called for an end to violence. He, however, did not condemn the attack on peaceful protesters by security officials.
