The Dubai Police have extradited the Nigerian Instagram celebrity, and alleged cyber fraudster, Raymond Igbalode aka Hushpuppi to the United States and handed him over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
His alleged right hand man, Olalekan Ponle aka Woodberry, was also extradited to the US, the Dubai Police, said in a statement on Thursday.
The FBI’s Director, Christopher Wray, had expressed his gratitude to the Dubai Police for their cooperation in extraditing the Nigerian suspect and his accomplice accused of committing multiple money-laundering and cyber crimes.

The FBI “praised the exceptional efforts exerted by the United Arab Emirate, represented bu the Dubai Police General HQ, in combating transnational organised cybercrime including the rrecent arrest of Raymod Igbalode Abbas, known as “Hushpuppi” and Olalekan Jacon Ponle aka “Woodberry” who were taken down in opetation “Fox Hunt 2,” according to the statement, FBI Director, Christopher Wray.
The Dubai Police (DP) recently came out with a report that the two suspects alongside other Nigerian gang members involved in money-laundering and multiple cybercrimes,were arrested in the UAE during an operation dubbed Fox Hunt 2.
After the arrest of Hushpuppi, Woodberry and other members of his crew, DP revealed that they discovered a fraud amounting to 1.6 billion dirham estimated to be N168 billion qwhich had been perpetrated by the gang.
Also, the DP said no fewer than 1,926,400 persons from different parts of the world had fallen victim to the suspects.
Concluding their operations, the Dubai Police said, 13 luxury cars, estimated at 35 million Durham estimated at N3.7 billion were also recovered from the house, where the suspects were arrested.
