#EndSARS protesters storm Ooni’s palace for royal support

Nigerian youths protesting against the “brutality” of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) section of the Nigeria Police, took their campaign to the palace of a prominent traditional ruler of the Yoruba race, the Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi in Ile-Ife, Osun State, to seek his royal support.

The youthful protesters carrying placards with different inscriptions arrived the palace premises Friday, as they made known their their demand for the total disbandment of the SARS operatives.

From the palace, they also moved around the ancient town, occupying major locations in Ile-Ife including the main gate of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) at Ile-Ife.

The #EndSARS protest which entered its day three, also held across states in Nigeria, likewise on the social media where influencers and celebrities have also joined in the protest calling for an end to the brutality of innocent citizens and harassment of youths by SARS operative under the guise of arresting suspicious individuals and criminals.
