Influential ex-Army chief, Gen Danjuma, visits Aso Villa, keeps mum after meeting with Buhari

Danjuma, whose last visit to the State House was over three years ago, also did not speak with State House correspondents on the outcome of his meeting with the president.

General Danjuma, was the Chief of Army Staff of Nigerian Army from July 1975 to October 1979.

Under the current political dispensation, he served as the Minister of Defence under President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration, in 1999.

In 2010 under former President Goodluck Jonathan, Danjuma was nominated as Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council.

Currently, he is a politician, businessman and the founder of The TY Danjuma Foundation.

Likewise, the president met with the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, who also declined comment on the outcome of his meeting with the president.
