Vice President Yemi Osinbajo SAN, on Saturday, received torrents of best wishes and commendations from Nigerians after the news of his knee surgery at a Nigerian hospital broke out.
Nigerians had earlier been informed by the spokesperson to the Vice President, Laolu Akande, that his principal would be undergoing a procedure after his prolonged leg pain.
Akande in his statement on Saturday, July 16, 2022, said: “VP Osinbajo is in the hospital today for a surgical procedure on account of recurrent pain in the leg possibly sustained from an injury while playing squash. His doctors would give an update of the treatment later today.”

Thereafter, sympathetic Nigerians and followers of Prof Osinbajo, even from the opposition political camps, came out in large numbers to wish the Vice President a quick recovery, while also lauding him for deciding to undergo the surgical procedure in a Nigerian hospital.
