Prof Adigun Agbaje, former UI DVC, regains freedom from kidnappers

The former Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof Adigun Agbaje, has been released by his abductors.

As gathered, Agbaje, currently the Director of the African Cultural Institute, was kidnapped while returning from Lagos on the Lagos-Ibadan Highway near the old Ibadan tollgate, on Friday, October 29, 2022, and regained freedom around 8:00 pm on Sunday.

Though there hasn’t been an official announcement of his release at the time of publishing this report, as reliably gathered from a source, he has been released.

Agbaje is a renowned Professor of Political Science, who graduated from the University of Ibadan with a First Class degree in the Department of Political Science.
