A boat ferrying some some officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) carrying electoral materials to the riverine Ilaje communities of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, has capsized.
Some INEC ad-hoc staff carrying election materials were involved in the incident which occurred Saturday morning at Igbokoda area of the local government.
The video of the boat accident is already trending on the social media.

However, information had it that there were no casualties in the incident as the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro, confirming the incident, described it as “a minor accident,” adding that nothing happened to the election materials.

“The incident occurred but it was a minor mishap because there was no casualty, and nothing happened to the election materials, everything is intact,” Ikoro said.
