Access Bank Plc has announced a strategic partnership with Prof. Yemi Osinbajo’s Future Perspectives to launch the Sustainable Finance Accelerator Programme.

The application for the initiative aimed at advancing credit for sustainable finance projects across Africa was made public on Tuesday.

The programme is designed to support the development of a robust pipeline of climate mitigation and adaptation projects, alongside providing crucial funding for green sector entrepreneurs and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs).

In a statement, Access Bank expressed its excitement about the initiative, saying, “We are excited to announce the Sustainable Finance Accelerator Programme powered by Access Bank Plc.”

The programme will focus on three key areas: creating a pipeline for climate projects eligible for loan funding, offering grants and seed funding to green sector entrepreneurs, and enhancing capacity-building for early-stage businesses.

The application deadline for seed funding and capacity-building initiatives is October 20, 2024, while loan applications remain open.
