Former Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo undertook his first official engagement as President of the Board of Trustees of the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), leading top council members on an extensive inspection walk through the Lekki Conservation Centre in Lagos.
The high level tour, conducted alongside National Executive Council Chair Hon Justice R.I.B. Adebiyi and Director-General Dr Joseph Onoja, was designed to provide the newly constituted leadership team with direct operational context ahead of their statutory council meeting at the Family Park.
Joined by prominent council figures including Mrs Onari Duke, Mr Femi Agbaje, Mrs Ebitan Akisanya, and Dame Marie Fatayi-Williams, Osinbajo reviewed key environmental facilities and evaluated ongoing biodiversity preservation initiatives across the expansive nature reserve.
During the interactive walk, Dr Onoja provided detailed briefings on institutional operations and ecological challenges, enabling trustees to formulate actionable recommendations aimed at bolstering Nigeria’s environmental resilience and sustainable development framework.
