The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding 2021-2025 admission offers to either accept or reject them.
The final deadline has now been moved to 30 November 2026.
This update was communicated through an official statement signed by the board’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin.
The extension provides a crucial window for affected candidates to regularise their admission status on the Central Admission Processing System.
According to the board, all outstanding offers from the 2021 to 2025 admission exercises that remain neither accepted nor rejected by the November deadline will automatically revert to “Not Admitted”.

JAMB stressed that this cleanup process enables the organisation to update its records and ensure the national database accurately reflects current student data.
Candidates whose admissions do not reflect on the matriculation list are strongly advised to act immediately to avoid complications.
Failure to regularise these records could jeopardise access to key benefits associated with properly documented admissions, including participation in the National Youth Service Corps scheme.
The board also clarified specific scenarios for candidates navigating multiple or changing academic paths.
Candidates who are no longer studying at institutions where they were previously offered admission, or who have changed programmes, can accept the old offers and subsequently apply for appropriate correction or deletion.
Individuals currently pursuing a second degree while holding unaccepted historical admission offers can safely reject those older offers without affecting their current studies.
Furthermore, candidates who have already secured admission offers for the current academic session are assured that rejecting older pending offers will not impact their current admission status.
JAMB warned that any subsequent requests to alter admission records after the final deadline will apply appropriate penalty fees.
Affected candidates are therefore strongly urged to utilise this final extension to sort out their documentation before 30 November.
