Tragedy struck again in Lagos on Friday, as a three-storey building collapsed, leaving some occupants of the house trapped in rubbles.
The sad incident occurred at No. 95, Abeokuta Street, Cemetery, Ebute-Meta area of the densely populated Lagos city, Nigeria’s commercial nerve centre.
As gathered, the building, located opposite the Health Centre along Cemetery street, in Ebute-Meta, suddenly caved in on Friday afternoon, as people scampered for safety.

However, operatives of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) have swung to to rescue the residents.
Among those already brought out of the bubbles is a 30-year-old lady, who was said to have sustained injuries and had been moved to a hospital.
The emergency responders said the cause of the collapse could not be immediately ascertained.
However, other emergency workers from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), federal and state fire services, among others, have joined LASEMA to rescue those affected in the building collapse.
