Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stood up against each other as Governor Godwin Obaseki arrived to cast his vote.
Tension built up at the polling unit of Obaseki, the candidate of the PDP, where he had arrived to cast his vote at his polling unit 19, ward 04, Oredo Local Government Area of Edo.

As gathered, problem started after a PDP youth leader allegedly hit a supporter of APC, the party being represented at the poll by its candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
However, the swift response of security operatives who later whisked the trouble maker away and the intervention of Obaseki, it was said, quickly doused the tension.
