The famous Nigerian Christian filmmaker and founder and President of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye has showered praises on the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, commending him for his doggedness and uncommon display of courage during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election.

The drama Evangelist lauded the Vice President for refusing to step down or withdraw from the race in the face of intimidation, saying Osinbajo stood for God that night while others were stepping down for a particular candidate.

Citing similar examples from the Bible, the film actor said: “While others were bowing for Haman in the Shushan Palace of Babylon, Mordecai stood up with his shoulders high.”

Recall that, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, emerged as the winner of the APC presidential primary election held at Eagles Square, Abuja on June 8, 2022 in a keenly contested race.

Tinubu obtained over 1,271 votes to defeat his closest rivals, ex-minister Rotimi Amaechi and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

While Amaechi polled 316 votes, Osinbajo scored 235 votes.

Before the election commenced, Tinubu was endorsed by a horde of fellow presidential aspirants who stepped down for him and asked their followers and delegates to vote for the former Lagos governor.

They are Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, former governors of Ogun; Ibikunle Amosun, Akwa Ibom; Godswill Akpabio, Senator Ajayi Boroffice, former House of Representatives Speaker Dimeji Bankole and the only female aspirant Uju Kennedy Ohanenye.

Mike Bamiloye, in a post on his verified Instagram page uploaded on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, shared a photo of the Vice President with a poetic diction, touching and stirring tone that captured the depth of his pride, affection and admiration for Osinbajo’s daring adventure towards Nigeria’s presidency despite his defeat at the primaries.

He said: “That night at the National Congress, you spoke well. You spoke your heart and your desire for our nation. You rolled out your dream for the World’s Largest Black Nation! You spoke about what is possible for the Nation! You spoke about what God can do if we cooperate with God to turn this nation around. You spoke well, Sir. And we heard you well.”

“They thought you lost. But you won, Sir. You scored the highest goals. Because you spoke the mind of God for our Nation! And thank you, Sir, For standing for God that Night.”

“While others were bowing for Haman in the Shushan Palace of Babylon, Mordecai stood up with his shoulders high. While others bowed for the Golden Image of Nebuchadnezzar, Those Hebrew boys Stood Up on their Feet and refused to step down! It’s just some Bible Stories. So I just say I should greet you, Sir! You have done your best. May you live well to fulfil God’s Purpose! It shall be well with you and your family! #mikebamiloye”
