COVID-19 cases in Nigeria rise to 6,175 with 216 fresh cases in 14 states, Abuja

Nigeria, on Monday, confirmed 216 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus in 14 states and Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), who disclosed this late Monday night, listed the states and the figures as follows: Lagos (74); Katsina (33); Oyo (19); Kano (17); Edo (13); Zamfara (10); eight each in Ogun, Gombe and Borno; Bauchi and Kwara (seven each).

It said four fresh cases were recorded in the FCT; three each in Kaduna and Enugu as well as two in Rivers.

On the overall, the national tally is now 6,175 with 1,644 fully recovered patients discharged and 191 deaths recorded.
