Charis Family International Church, Ashington, Northumberland, the United Kingdom, is set to host a three-day international revival programme featuring renowned Nigerian evangelist, Isaac Omolehin, a seasoned preacher whose ministry has spanned more than four decades and reached all six continents of the world.

The programme, themed “Double Portion,” will hold from June 12 to 14, 2026, at the NCEA Duke’s Secondary Assembly Hall, Ashington, NE63 9FZ.

Designed to accommodate working professionals and families, the revival will begin on Friday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, continue on Saturday from 4:30pm to 7:30pm, and conclude with a special Sunday service from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

The theme, “Double Portion,” draws inspiration from 2 Kings 2:9, where Elisha requested a double portion of Elijah’s spirit.

Within Pentecostal theology, the phrase symbolises spiritual empowerment, divine increase, supernatural breakthrough and the fulfilment of God’s promises. It remains one of the most powerful themes associated with revival and spiritual renewal.

The host church, Charis Family International Church, Ashington, is a registered charity in England and Wales and operates from Ashington, Northumberland.

Under the leadership of Pastor Ayodeji Akinsola, it has grown into a vibrant centre of worship, spiritual development and community engagement within the region.

OmolehinIts presence reflects the increasing impact of African led churches across the United Kingdom, serving both diaspora communities and local residents while fostering a dynamic expression of Christian faith.

The upcoming revival further highlights the growing influence of Nigerian Pentecostal ministry on the global Christian landscape.

Such gatherings strengthen ties between churches in Africa and the diaspora while creating opportunities for spiritual renewal, cultural connection and the exchange of ministry experiences across nations.

Organisers say the programme has been carefully structured to allow maximum participation throughout the three days, giving attendees the opportunity to engage deeply with the teachings, worship and prayer sessions.

Anticipation is already building across Northumberland and beyond as believers prepare for what is expected to be a significant spiritual gathering.

Much of that expectation is tied to the remarkable life and ministry of Evangelist Isaac Omolehin, whose journey from humble beginnings in rural Nigeria to becoming a globally recognised preacher has inspired countless believers across generations.

Born on February 24, 1951, in Iluke Bunu, Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria, Evangelist Omolehin is the Founder and President of Word Assembly Ministries, headquartered in Ilorin, Kwara State. He also serves as the General Superintendent of The Word Commission International.

His rise to global ministry came through remarkable perseverance. As a child, he moved through four different villages in pursuit of primary education due to financial challenges.

To support his education, he worked on farms during holidays to pay his school fees, overcoming severe financial challenges before eventually earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Port Harcourt in 1983.

Omolehin was ordained into ministry by Rev. Mike Oye in 1985. Since then, he has devoted his life to evangelism, Bible teaching and a ministry marked by testimonies of notable miracles, impacting lives across nations and continents.

His remarkable journey from a struggling village boy to a globally recognised evangelist stands as a powerful testimony to the transformative power of faith, perseverance and the grace of God.

Many who follow his ministry are drawn not only by his preaching, but also by the inspiring story of how unwavering trust in God helped him rise above humble beginnings to become an achiever in CHRIST.

He is widely known for conducting annual 120 day crusades between January and April, reaching thousands across Nigeria and beyond. His radio broadcasts also reach millions of listeners daily, extending his influence far beyond physical crusade grounds.

One of the defining features of his ministry is its global reach. Omolehin has preached across Africa, Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Australia, making him one of the few Nigerian evangelists to minister on all six inhabited continents.

His ministry has also maintained a strong digital presence. Previous UK programmes, including the widely attended “UK Battle Axe Retreat,” attracted significant online engagement and reinforced his growing international audience.

Evangelist Omolehin is married to Dr (Mrs) Christie Omolehin. Together, they have four children, all of whom serve as pastors and missionaries in different nations, continuing the family’s commitment to global evangelism.

With a ministry that has impacted millions through crusades, radio broadcasts and international missions, Evangelist Omolehin’s visit is expected to attract worshippers from across the United Kingdom and neighbouring nations.

His story, from a young boy overcoming hardship to become a globally recognised evangelist, continues to inspire believers around the world.

As Charis Family International Church prepares to welcome worshippers to Ashington, the “Double Portion” revival promises to be a powerful celebration of faith, revival and spiritual transformation.
