Earlier on, the ‘S.M.A.R.T WOMEN FOR PYO,’ had  joined many compatriots across the country in offering best wishes to the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, while appealing to him to use the opportunity of the double celebration to declare his intention to run for the highest office in the land — the Presidency come 2023.

The group said Nigerian women across all divides were ready to roll out their machinery in solidarity for the VP,’ because of his ‘He for She’ posture amongst other qualities, while also saying that, “Osinbajo has the qualities, the required experience and the credentials to step into the shoes of President Muhammadu Buhari.”

March 8th of every year has always been a special day for Nigerians and lovers of Osinbajo across the country ever since the former Law Professor emerged as Vice president.

Today is also a reminder for many Nigerians and beneficiaries of the March 8th Initiative, a brainchild of the “Friends of Prof” which is organised to inspire and promote communal, entrepreneurial and public-spirited endeavours within Nigeria in honour of the birthday of the Vice President.

Under the initiative, applicants are usually drawn from the 36 States of the country and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, with the most innovative business ideas providing more opportunities for young Nigerians between 18 and 35 years old.

In celebrating his birthday, a number of prominent figures and many Nigerians turned up on online and across social media platforms to applaud Osinbajo’s big day.

Many of those who greeted him sang his praises and highlighted his many achievements as Vice President. This is also coming at the backdrop of the statement made by President Buhari, while he was about to jet off to London for medical leave where he indicated that he was leaving the administration in the absolute care of his Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

Fans and lovers of Osinbajo took to social media to rally support for his 2023 candidacy even though he is being tight lipped of his ambition.

Reacting to the development, many posited that Osinbajo was already taking a proactive move in a bid to an end to the fuel scarcity currently rampaging the country by calling officials of the NNPC to a round table meeting.

A Twitter user indicated that since yesterday (Monday, March 7), queues have begun to reduce and normalcy is gradually coming back to our filling stations.

Below are tweets of notable Nigerians pouring praises on the Vice President on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
