Former Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has paid a condolence visit to Nasir El-Rufai following the death of the latter’s mother.

Osinbajo visited El-Rufai at his residence in Abuja in late March 2026, where he personally expressed his sympathies and stood in solidarity with the grieving family.

Visuals and social media posts from the visit showed both men in a moment of reflection and quiet interaction, underscoring a long standing personal and political relationship between them.

The condolence visit came in the wake of the burial activities for El-Rufai’s mother, with several political associates and close allies also reported to have paid their respects during the mourning period.
